Hello 03:39
You know time is of the essence. You know love is my first language, and if you give me time, I'll write this first line to see if you can translate it and if you can, pick up your hand and wave hello. We can dance if you want to. We could make plans if you want to or we could scratch all that and go with the flow We can laugh together. We could fall in love together. All you have to do is say "Hello." We don't have to be so serious. Why look around when all you see is us? Cause I'm not playing for keeps unless it's you and me, but if you leave, take me with you. I want to be where you are. You are like my shining star, beautiful and bright. Come on baby. Don't give me a "maybe." Say "Hello."

Reconcile 04:05
We all have visions. We all have dreams. We all have doubts and everything in between. We all show love, we just show it differently. We all mess up, and more than we want to believe. I'm guilty of it too, but that doesn't mean we can't improve I will reconcile with humanity because even lost souls are still good to me. Come what may no matter what it may be, the people of this world will live in harmony. Things change, more often than you think. It's like we dance to the tune of uncertainty. We fight, probably more than we want, but we nurse our wounds, clean up, and move on. I know it's a slippery slope, but I'm not losing hope. Wake up, open your eyes. Get up and give love to troubled lives. Try to get away from deceit and lies. Just wake up and take the world by surprise. Open your eyes. Seems so hard just to make a move when life itself is falling down on you, but one good thing leads to another if you try. So, pick yourself up off the ground and get rid of that disguise.

I hope you know when the rain falls, as it washes away, I'll hold you close to me. I hope you know when the storm comes, I'll be your shelter. Give me one chance baby. I know you're not next to never but you're too close to "I don't know." I know you get scared when we say forever, but we've got a long way to go. I'm in if your in, just give me one change baby. Your heart of gold is the hope I'm looking for lately, and through everything, thick and thin, I really want to show you what love is. I promise I'll give you all I can. I'm unconditional. Not a soul can touch your smile, and the way it give me comfort and piece of mind. What's the story behind those eyes? Because they're working wonders for me tonight. Everywhere that I've been looking for love was so wrong. It always seemed like I was trying to live for just another day. Never before in my life have I ever felt so alone, but here you come, sweeping in, and you make everything OK. I promise I'll give you all I can. Just let me be your man. I'm unconditional.

You're painting all these pictures of things that you can't see You're making accusations based off of things you don't believe Where do we go from here? Where do we fight these fears? Is it that hard to see? If we are the body of a dying breed living amongst a body in dire need, why haven't we done something? When did we stop caring for others, our brothers and sisters? You draw back the arrow but you don't know what you're aiming for. You're quick to pull the trigger just like your quick to run out the door. Why do I waste my time trying to write these lines if you don't take the time to do what's right?

Car Ride 04:40
Moments like this it's hard for me to capture your beauty and tell you what I see. In my dreams, from dusk until dawn, I'd lay you down on a bed of roses and give you everything you want But how could you stress when you're not wrong? All you're trying to do is write a song for you and your heart. No, it doesn't rhyme but it's full of words that carry compassion and never hurt. I'm just waiting on my part. There's a lot of memories that are way long gone, but I'll never forget that car ride home. You were so beautiful, and every word you said screamed that you love Jesus just as much as I did. I'm looking through the doorway as you wave goodbye wondering "why this angel from Heaven would want an ordinary guy?" It's been a while since I've felt your love. Even driving down this highway used to mean so much. There's a lot of memories that are trapped in this song, but I'll never forget that car ride home.

Unknown 04:23
"Step out into the unknown, away from your comfort zone and make your own history" I kept telling myself that over again, testing time in this trance that I thought would define everything about me. Between my heart and my mind, I couldn't decide the right time to make my move and show the world what it means to live. But along the way you understand that the true measure of being a man is to love, live, and forgive. The clock strikes 5 and I'm awake knowing that, in my current state, I probably shouldn't be thinking. There's a loved one on my mind. In fact, she's there all the time, but tonight, her brown eyes are glistening. It's not that I don't miss you, because I wish I could hold you and kiss you, but at this point, it seems I'm way too late. A part of me is dying without your love, but I'm not denying that my selfishness decided our fate. Between you and me, there's some unclean history that never makes for a clean slate. My feet are shaking in my shoes because there's quite a few faces in this room in which we probably could relate. And the wild card in me is giving thought that there could be such thing as a third chance, but my heart is trying to move on, so all I have left is this song that tells the story of an interesting romance. Strayed so far away from my comfort zone. I'm traveling out into the unknown. To write my history, I had to leave home. It's funny how much you learn when you're alone.

Will You 06:04
Well, it's 2010, and I'm standing at the edge of your doorstep. You were beautiful then, and you're still beautiful today. Here I am, now, in this silent living room wishing I could give you a call and say: "When this man becomes your own, when this house becomes your home, when this song becomes your song, will you?" Will you sing to me baby just like I sing to you? Will you wait for me baby just like I wait for you? Will you stop calling me crazy when you see just what you do to me? Do you love me baby just like I love you? Well, three years passed, and I'm still in awe when I see you on this makeshift date night. Everything about you was perfect and flawless and all I want is a chance to treat you right. With God right beside us, we can put the past behind us and take the road less traveled with our checkered history. Do you love me baby just like I love you? "And if you ever change your mind about how you feel inside, I'm not too far away. No, I'm not too far away."

about

"Consistency" is a collective group of tunes that, while ironically having different sounds and features, pull together a unified feel of hope and creating identity. This album tells a story, and within that story is many little stories that all add up to piece together the big picture that is the set of songs. With a wide variety of sounds, you get poppy, upbeat tunes in the likes of the album openers "Hello" and "Reconcile", while also attributing airy notes, smooth melodies, and bold harmonies in tunes like "Will You", which also features organ, and "Unknown." You have a few more melodically intricate compositions in "Unconditional", "Brothers & Sisters", while also adding in the country/bluesy polarity of "Car Ride."

Overall, this EP is a wild ride of well thought out acoustic melodies and lyrics that carry more weight than just words to a song. "Consistency" is my treat to you. It was extremely bittersweet to write this project out, but just know that, in this project, I put my entire heart on paper, down a guitar neck, through a computer, and into your ears. I hope you enjoy it.

God bless you all, and thank you for believing in me.
